NESTS                                          2013-present

An exploration of the letter e, in the form of nests, incorporating text as one more nesting material. Begun at the MacDowell Colony in New Hampshire, this project is ongoing. Nesting materials include bark, lichen, phrases from poems, hair, snake skin, fabric, lead type, wire, text from a French phrase book, found objects, feathers, vines. Though the letter e is often silent, it makes egg possible. These nests offer a place to rest, a place to hatch.
